Why can't the thigh high socks be washed with hot water?

There is no special technique for washing thigh high socks. High-quality thigh high socks can be washed in a washing machine (ordinary thigh high socks are recommended to be washed by hand) and allowed to dry naturally. This is a very good washing method for thigh high socks. However, any thigh high socks cannot withstand high temperatures, so hot water washing and drying are unacceptable.

Because the band of thigh high socks is different from other socks, these elastic bands may be extended to more than 6 times their own width (thighs are much thicker than ankles or calves). They must have excellent elasticity to maintain thigh high socks. They are very important part of thigh high socks. High temperature will damage the elasticity of these bands, whether it is hot water or drying, it will accelerate the aging of these bands. Especially for elastic lines, high temperature will make these elastic lines fragile and lose their elasticity quickly.

Hot water washing or drying can also cause excessive shrinkage of the thigh high socks. All cotton products will shrink the first time they are washed. This shrinkage is expected. But the excessive shrinkage caused by hot water washing and drying is out of control. They may shrink so much that clothes or socks will be too tight or deformed.

Kayhoma are high-quality thigh high socks. They can be machine washed, but they still don't like hot water or drying. If you want your thigh high socks not to slip, wash them with room temperature water.
